Burpee Routine
Convenient and Efficient
This burpee routine is also known as the prison workout. This exercise works several major muscle groups and provides cardio. A prisoner invented this routine to stay in shape without any exercise equipment. Because it is a bodyweight exercise, you can do this workout anywhere and it doesn’t take very long. It works your legs, chest, arms and abs. Try the 100 burpee challenge. Also checkout the push-up routine I wrote about last year.
The Burpee Routine
The routine is simple. You do 10 sets up burpees with one less burpee in each set. Rest for 60 seconds between each set. Try starting with 10 burpees or as many as you can. Here is a video of the guy from Dirty Jobs, Mike Rowe, to explain.

Burpees are tough – but Mike Rowe is hilarious. Love his comment about puking between sets. I'll have to keep this in mind when I'm crunched for time but need some exercise.
